How much did this cost you guys?

    • Yikes! I didn’t really track spending, but it was 4 sheets of 3/4″ plywood, five-ish 2x4s, two 1×3 board and five 1×2 boards, plus glue, screws, and paint. The vaaassst majority of the cost is the plywood, which we generally get for around $40 per sheet. All told, it was probably around $200? (This was for a California King sized bed.)

Okay thank you! I have a friend with a queen sized bed who is ready to kill for more storage but is on a budget. This looks perfect. Thanks for getting back to me and I love how yours turned out.

  3. What r the dimensions for this?

    • Hi! The mattress is a cal king so the finished size is 7 feet long by 6 feet wide. The platform ended up being 17 inches high and the cubbies are 17 inches deep. Hope that helps!
