I’m very unexcited about yet another big house project, but the guys we hired are super efficient, and this paver patio looks amazing. Today they’re putting in a new front patio to match.They may not have wings, but there is no way I’m walking between those and risking getting vaporized. #eightieskid #neverendingstory #nopenopenope #iwentaroundWhen the 3yo wants pizza at 9am. (And you don’t have any shredded mozzarella, so you cut up sticks of string cheese.)I knitted these wool longies for Dakota when she was a toddler and leaking through her nighttime cloth diapers. They didn’t solve the nighttime leaking issues and she was active enough at that age I didn’t feel like they’d hold up to being worn in the daytime. Didn’t bother with Malcolm since the poly diaper covers worked fine for him. But now Zane is having some rash issues, not in the wetness zone but in spots where the non-breathable waterproofing is up against his skin, like the hips, top edge of the diaper, and occasionally the leg elastics. So now I’m trying wool right over the absorptive layer, and I’m impressed there aren’t any leaks, and his rashes cleared up within a day. I think these pants were the last knitting project I actually completed before deciding I just didn’t want to devote the time anymore, so it feels awesome to get to show them off again. :) They’re also the only knitting project I finished with cabling, up the sides so it’s hard to see in this photo. :)-
